That Was FUN.!
By seven-ish on Friday nights, I usually find myself sitting in some restaurant, poring over the menu, trying to decide which yummy-looking dish to order.
Last Friday night, I found myself standing in line outside the Hard Rock Hotel for Fun.'s first concert in Singapore. To say that the queue outside The Coliseum was long is an understatement. It was very VERY long. With the band gaining mainstream popularity over the past year, it wasn't really a wonder.
Fun. opened the concert with Out On The Town, with the enthusiastic crowd screaming along. The setlist was made up mostly of songs from their Some Nights album, sprinkled with older songs like All The Pretty Girls and Barlights. Nate Ruess' vocals were remarkable throughout the night. The energy was palpable, with the audience jumping, singing and pumping their fists in the air as the band played one song after another.
Fun. definitely lived up to their band name, giving the sold-out crowd of 3,500 a FUN night! :)
