Maroon 5: Overexposed Tour (Singapore)

Having bought my tickets back in February, it was an understatement to say I was excited when September 22 finally came. I wasn't just excited -- I was extremely over-the-moon excited!!! :D

Maroon 5 was performing on the second night of the Singapore F1 Grand Prix 2012. Even though they weren't performing until 11PM, I dragged the reluctant boyfriend out to the Raffles area as early as lunchtime. I'm a brat, I know, but I wanted an awesome spot! Haha.

We entered the fanzone area at around 7 o'clock, snagging third row spots. Everyone had to watch the (slightly painful) performance of Bananarama. It was a bit entertaining. Haha. Then we had to endure two more hours of feeling like sardines. People were pushing, some were yelling, and everyone was getting cranky. 

At 11PM sharp, a telephone started ringing very loudly. That only meant one thing -- Payphone! The band got onstage, and the screaming ensued. Myself included. LOL.

The band played Payphone, One More Night, and Lucky Strike from their Overexposed album. Of course, they also played well-loved hits from their older albums including Sunday Morning, This Love, and She Will Be Loved. Adam Levine owned the stage, singing and playing for the crowd with so much energy.

The band closed the show with their biggest hit, Moves Like Jagger, with a line of Oppa Gangnam Style played at the very beginning of the song. The concert only lasted for one hour, which was three or four songs short of their normal show. Nevertheless, it was an awesome awesome concert! Well worth the wait, definitely worth every penny.
