In The Summertime: Part 2

Flew to Cebu last month for my weekend visit/dental appointment. L's birthday was coming up, and he begged me for a beach trip. A sweet pa-cute from my nephew is very hard to turn down, we ended up booking for a night's stay at the Imperial Palace Waterpark Resort and Spa.

We reserved a two-bedroom pool villa. A day or two before the weekend, they called to inform us that the villa we booked will not be available during our stay. They offered to move us to two villas -- a jacuzzi villa and a pool villa -- without charging us extra. Not bad!

We got a kick out of having a private pool. Even Daddy went for a dip.

The waterpark was FUN! There were three huge slides: the white slide is open, the green slide is dark and tube-like, and the striped slide takes you to a funnel where you whirl and whirl until you are dropped into a pool that's 6 feet deep. They might as well be called the Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced slides. I only managed to go on the white slide, of course, because I am a scaredy-cat. Haha.

To say that L enjoyed the kiddie pool with the pirate and jungle themed slides is an understatement. I lost count of how many times he went on all the slides.

I loved the Wave Pool. We got to ride on these big swim rings, and the current took us through the narrow river-like oval pool. The shore-like part of the pool generated big waves that you can ride on using the swim rings.

While we were enjoying the slides and the pools, Mom and Dad strolled around and enjoyed the view.

Fun, relaxation, and quality time with the family... Summer couldn't get any better than that! Thank you for the awesome escape, Imperial Palace! :)
